The Industrial Relations Society of New South Wales, formed in 1958, was the first organisation of its type to be formed in Australia.

Its objectives are to organise and foster discussion, research, education and publication within the field of Industrial Relations. It has been highly successful in bringing together representatives of trade unions, employers and Government, the legal profession and academics - all of whom have contributed to the promotion of better Industrial Relations.

Participation enables a free exchange of opinions, an understanding of another person's point of view, and new friendships - all factors designed to create goodwill and understanding in the field of Industrial Relations.

The NSW Society is linked, through the Australian Labour and Employment Relations of Australia (ALERA), with kindred societies in all States and Territories of Australia.

If you are already a member of IRSNSW then please login to the site to access the Member Only pages. (Use the login button at the top right hand side of this page.)  There you will find papers and news from recent seminars and events and a link to the Journal of Industrial Relations (all published articles are available online).
