IRC Seminar: Recent amendments to Freedom from Victimisation under the Industrial Relations Act 1996

The Industrial Relations and Other Legislation Amendment (Workplace Protections) Act 2025 enacted amendments to sections 209, 210 and 213 of the IR Act which took effect on 3 July 2025. 

This seminar will cover amendments arising from the amending Act including: 

New protections in s 210, Freedom from Victimisation, including for engaging in industrial organising activities, and having a characteristic protected from discrimination under the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and the new Reverse Onus in s 213(5) of the IR Act.
