Kyle Scott

Kyle is a Director of Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors, and heads up ABLA’s Workplace team in Newcastle.

Kyle has more than a decade’s experience as a specialist employment lawyer, and is a Law Society Accredited Specialist in Employment and Industrial Law.

Kyle advises businesses on all areas of workplace law, and is a trusted advisor to many businesses throughout the Hunter region. His practice is a mix of advisory work and litigation, with particular expertise in managing enterprise bargaining, award compliance, industrial strategy, complex terminations, workplace investigations and employment litigation.  

Therese Fitzgibbon

Therese Fitzgibbon is an organiser with the Independent Education Union of Australia NSW/ACT Branch. Therese represents union members in schools in the Newcastle and Hunter Regions. These include Catholic Systemic, Grammar, Christian, Seventh Day Adventist, Steiner and Early Learning Services. Therese manages a diverse range of industrial disputes including those relating to pay and entitlements, reportable conduct, bullying and harassment, workers compensation, and workplace conflict. Therese also represents union members in enterprise agreement negotiations.

Therese holds a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from the Australian National University, a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Newcastle, and is currently completing her final subjects for a Masters of Law in Dispute Resolution through the University of New South Wales. Therese is a delegate to Hunter Workers, a member of the IEU Women in Education Committee, a delegate to IEUA Federal Council, a member of the Resolution Institute and a member of the Newcastle Industrial Relations Society.
