Deputy President Anna Booth

Anna Booth is a Deputy President of the Fair Work Commission. She is a member of the Advisory Board for the Work and Organisation Studies Discipline in the Business School of the University of Sydney.

Immediately prior to being appointed to the Commission in February 2012 she was co-founder of the workplace relations consulting firm CoSolve Pty Ltd, a non-executive director of industry superannuation owned financial services companies ME Bank and IFM and Chair of the law firm Slater & Gordon .

Anna has served on the boards of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, the National Road Motorists Association (NRMA), the Centre for Policy Development and the Commission for Children and Young People.

She was a member of the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG) and was the Chair of the Torch Relay Committee. She was also the National Secretary of the Textile, Clothing and Footwear Union of Australia and a Vice President of the ACTU.

Anna holds a BEc.(Hons) from the University of Sydney and a Company Directors Course Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

In her professional and personal life  Anna has been a campaigner for equity and fairness for all and until recently she was a Girl Guides NSW Leader of Youth and Guiding Partner.  She is a passionate advocate for the rights, especially in employment, of people with a disability.

Senior Deputy President Jonathan Hamberger

Jonathan Hamberger has been a Senior Deputy President of the Fair Work Commission (including its predecessors) since 2004.

Prior to his appointment to the Commission, he spent over 20 years working as a policy adviser to Federal and State governments and as a senior public sector manager.

He has an MA from Oxford University in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

He has a PhD from Macquarie University for his research into workplace dispute resolution in Australia.
